For November, EPCDS Profiles Noel C., a 6th grader at the Upper School.

EPCDS is proud to recognize Noel C., an EPCDS Upper School student, who travelled to his native Holland to participate in one of the most prestigious youth soccer tournaments in all of Europe.

Noel was nominated by People to People International, a non-profit organization that promotes international friendship and understanding, to serve as an ambassador for the US Youth Soccer Team at the Youth Friendship Games in Holland. The Youth Friendship Games are an umbrella organization for 8 different sporting events, including the Amsterdam Cup, an international soccer tournament with over 30 representative countries. Being selected to participate in The Amsterdam Cup is a very nice honor, but being invited to serve as an Ambassador is truly a tremendous achievement.

Noel was elected Captain of his team and received numerous awards for both his skills and his sportsmanship. Many of the other participants were much older than Noel, but that did not stop his determination. "it was cool, "says Noel, "because I was one of the youngest players." Noel has been playing soccer since the age of three and is very active in local AYSO Soccer Tournaments in addition to his participation on the world stage.

Congratulations Noel for your outstanding effort and achievement!!
